Introduction
What Geonimo is, what it measures, and how the platform is organized.
Geonimo is a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform. It measures how visible your brand is inside AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Perplexity — and turns that measurement into work you can ship.
Classic SEO tells you where you rank on a results page. That number says less every quarter, because a growing share of buyers never reach a results page: they ask an assistant and act on the answer. If the assistant does not name you, you are invisible to that buyer — no impression, no click, no chance to compete.
Geonimo answers three questions on a daily cycle:
- Are you named? For the prompts your buyers actually type, which brands does each engine mention, in what order, and in what tone.
- Why? Which pages, domains and citations the engines pull from when they build those answers.
- What now? The specific fixes — page changes, content gaps, publications worth pitching — that move you into more answers.
How the platform is organized
The dashboard has three groups, and the docs follow the same shape.
| Group | What it is for | Docs |
|---|---|---|
| Monitoring | Measurement. Visibility, sources, query fan-out, paid placements and brand perception. | Monitoring |
| Task Center | Execution. Outreach targets, recommendations, page issues and the GEO Copilot. | Task Center |
| Workspace | Configuration. Prompts, competitors, products, pages and the traffic tracker. | Workspace |
Everything else in the docs supports those three: Metrics defines every number on screen, Platform explains how the data is produced, and Account covers teams, roles and billing.
What makes the measurement trustworthy
Three design decisions matter more than any feature:
- The real interface, not an API. Geonimo captures what ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Perplexity actually render — personalization, ads and shopping units included. An API answer is what a model would say in a laboratory; the UI is what your buyer read this morning.
- Mentions are extracted, not self-reported. Geonimo reads the captured answer and matches your tracked entities against it. It never asks a model to grade its own output, which would pollute the very answer being measured.
- Every rate carries a confidence interval. AI answers are non-deterministic, so each prompt is asked several times per engine per day and every number ships with a noise floor. A change below the floor is not marked as a change.
The consequence: numbers are comparable across engines and across weeks, and every metric drills down to the answer that produced it.
