AI Shopping Visibility

Carousel slot share and ad placements, captured from real AI answers.

When an assistant answers a shopping question, the carousel is the shelf: a ten-item carousel is ten chances to be seen, and one slot versus six is a difference answer-level metrics hide. Geonimo captures every slot and ad from the answers it collects (position, price, rating, advertiser, thumbnail) because it samples the consumer surface where they actually render.

Product titles are attributed to the brands that own them, so a carousel full of your product models counts as yours. What no brand owns stays in an unattributed bucket that is pinned last: it can never top a ranking.

Slot share, not just presence

Your brand's share of carousel slots across the window's answers: the shelf-space metric for AI shopping, reported alongside every competitor's share from the same answers.

Product-to-brand attribution

Carousel titles resolve to tracked products, and products roll up to the brand that owns them (yours or a rival’s) so slot share reflects brands, not string matches.

Full placement detail

Every captured placement keeps its slot position, price, rating, advertiser and thumbnail, so you can see not just that you appeared, but where in the shelf and against what offer.

Ads captured too

Sponsored placements are recorded alongside organic carousel slots, so paid and earned shelf space are visible in the same view instead of blurring into one number.

Why slot share is the honest shopping metric

Counting "answers where we appeared" treats one slot and six slots as the same outcome. Slot share keeps the difference: it divides the actual shelf among the brands on it. Because Geonimo asks the assistants real buyer questions daily, the shelf you see is the shelf buyers saw, including the days you fell off it.

From shelf data to action

Shopping answers are retrieval-heavy: what the engine reads decides what it shelves. Pair slot share with source analysis and query fan-out to see which pages and feeds power the carousels in your category, and where a competitor’s six slots actually come from.

Frequently asked questions

Which engines have shopping carousels?

Coverage varies by engine and by query type. Geonimo captures placements wherever the answers it collects include them, and reports coverage as measured: an engine either rendered a carousel for your prompts or it did not.

How is a product attributed to my brand?

Tracked products belong to a brand via an owner link set up during onboarding. When a carousel title matches a tracked product, the placement credits that product and rolls up to the owning brand. Titles that match nothing stay unattributed and are pinned last.

Can I compare my product lines against a rival’s products?

Yes: product-level share puts your lines and competitors’ products on the same table, with the same denominator, so two products are directly comparable. A product not yet seen shows "not yet measured", which is kept distinct from a measured zero.
